I CONVEGNI DEGLI ASTROFILI LIGURI

La storia dell'astrofilia in Liguria è ancora poco nota in merito a quanto è avvenuto prima del 1950: è quindi possibile che siano stati tenuti convegni. In effetti, gli astrofili veneti si sono riuniti già nel 1949 OPAC SBN (collegamento attivo il 26/4/2023). Mentre in Puglia gli astrofili si sono dati convegno per la sesta e settima volta nel 1988 OPAC SBN (collegamento attivo il 26/4/2023) e nell'anno successivo OPAC SBN (collegamento attivo il 26/4/2023). Pare certo, in ogni caso, che questo incontro sia stato il primo a voler ricostruire la storia dell'astrofilia ligure. Il convegno è stato organizzato proprio a questo scopo da Riccardo Balestrieri, direttore dell'Osservatorio Astronomico di Genova, nell'ambito dei festeggiamenti per il decennale della fondazione della struttura. I relativi atti, denominati Astronomia in Liguria, sono stati pubblicati nel Bollettino OAG n. 70 (dicembre 1996). Gli interventi sono in ordine cronologico: il relatore può essere diverso da chi ha poi firmato il contributo per gli atti. Sono riportati nel seguito i riassunti dei vari articoli, come sono apparsi negli atti. Le pagine che ancora mancano in Urania Ligustica sono contrassegnate da un asterisco (*): saranno realizzate appena possibile.

Riccardo Balestrieri	L'Osservatorio Astronomico di Genova	The Astronomical Observatory of Genova is an amatorial structure founded by Università Popolare Sestrese with the help of the Town Council. This paper is devoted to the history of the association to which is due the idea, the construction, and the managing of the Observatory.

Mario Monaco, Roberto Bracco	Il Gruppo Astrofili Savonesi	The Group has an outstanding experience about astro-photography: the associates shooted rare and transient phenomena and made a boreal photographic atlas of 79 tables. Astronomical camps at high altitude were yearly organized since 1978.
Roberto Cioni	L'Associazione Astrofili Spezzini	The Association transformed an anti-aircraft building of the Second World War in its Observatory: a Ritchey-Chretien telescope, Ø 40 cm f/8, a CCD camera and other equipments are used for cometary studies and the search of supernovae.
Diego G. Torrisi	L'Associazione Ligure Urania (*)	This association, perhaps the first one entitled to Urania in Italy, was founded by Glauco de Mottoni, an outstanding planetary observer which dedicated himself to Mars, as Schiaparelli, Cerulli and Maggini: he produced several albedo maps for the International Astronomical Union. The group is preparing a public observatory near Rovegno, in Val Trebbia.
Federico Valente	Il Gruppo Astrofili Astigiani Beta Andromedae (*)	The Group manages several activities concerning popularization, didactics and research with the aim to build a public observatory.
Claudio Lopresti	L'Istituto Spezzino Ricerche Astronomiche (*)	This amateur astronomers association is active in popularization, didactics and digital astronomy; it founded Gruppo Astronomia Digitale, that organizes international meetings, and has a survey concerning this matter on the italian magazine Nuovo Orione.
Mario Quadrelli	Le associazioni amatoriali del Tigullio	The Gulf of Tigullio extends from Portofino to the east: this paper describes the amateur astronomer associations flourished in a decade [in Rapallo: Gruppo Astrofili del Centro Sociale di Educazione Permamente, Gruppo Astrofili del Tigullio, Centro di Cultura Scientifica del Tigullio].
Alessandro Monti	Il Gruppo Astrofili della Chiappa	This group had a contemplative approach to astronomy and a short life, but it allowed an useful training for several amateur astronomers.
Alessandro Monti	L'Associazione Spezzina Astrofili Camillo Flammarion	The Camillo Flammarion was one of the first associations of Liguria to extend its activities to sistematic planetary observations: the results are still interesting.
Marco Del Bò	La Società Astronomica Urania (*)	After the history of this young association [founded in Novi Ligure], some amateur astronomers relate about the origin of their passion.

In Liguria there was an ancient human colonization (Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon sites), but the several megalithic structures are not dated. It is necessary therefore to encourage the studies on this matter.
